“Walk a little slower, Daddy,” said the little twins so small. We’re following in your footsteps, and we don’t want to fall.
Sometimes your steps are very fast, sometimes they’re hard to view; so walk a little slower Daddy, for you are leading two.
Someday when we’re all grown up, You’re what we want to be, We will have our own children, Following our footsteps, you see.
And we would want to lead just right, and know that we were true; So walk a little slower Daddy, for we must follow you.
My daddy is so special, He’s brave and strong and smart. That is why I love him so With all my little heart!
Hello Daddy, I’ve waited for you, come gently hold my hand. Teach me things I need to know and help me understand.
The world is new and big and bright, so many things to see. I need someone to guide me through and always support me.
These moments pass us quickly by, let’s cherish every one. The days, the weeks, the months will fly, it’s only just begun.
And as I grow up big and strong remember this is true – I’ll always be your little girl. Dear Daddy, I love you.
Ten little fingers And ten tiny toes
Two innocent eyes And one button nose
Two cute dimpled hands To play peek-a-boo
Two soft chubby feet To toddle toward you
Two hands to explore A world filled with fun
Two feet that so soon Will walk, skip and run
These precious prints Will grow all too fast
But when printed here They will always last
Fathers are wonderful people Too little understood, And we do not sing their praises As often as we should… But fathers are just wonderful In a million different ways, And they merit loving compliments And accolade of praise, For the only reason Dad aspires To fortune and success Is to make the family proud of him And to bring them happiness… And like our Heavenly Father, He’s a guardian and a guide, Someone that we can count on To be always on our side.
I love to wear my Daddy’s shoes though my feet are small, When they are in my Daddy’s shoes, I feel 10 feet tall. Someday I’ll grow up to fill them, and I only hope to be, as fine a man and great a Dad as my Daddy is to me.
A sturdy, stead hand to hold to In times of strife and stress A true friend we can turn to When times are good or bad One of our greatest gifts and blessings, The man that we call Dad.
There are little eyes upon you and they’re watching night and day. There are little ears that quickly take in every word you say. There are little hands all eager to do anything you do; and a little boy who’s dreaming of the day he’ll be like you.
You’re the little fellow’s idol; you’re the wisest of the wise. In his little mind about you no suspicions ever rise. He believes in you devoutly, holds all you say and do; he will say and do, in your way when he’s grown up just like you.
There’s a wide-eyed little fellow, who believes you’re always right; and his eyes are always opened, and he watches day and night. You are setting an example every day in all you do; for the little boy who’s waiting to grow up just like you.
Daddy, take my hand in yours and you will plainly see How very much I need you now to love and care for me. As my little hand grows, I will need you even more. Everything I do in life, I have never done before. Teach me to be kind and loving, sharing, and forgiving. Show me through your acts of love the pure joy of living. The years will pass by quickly and one day I will be grown, I will pass what you have taught me onto children of my own. Hold me always in your thoughts and remember when we are apart, The special love between a child and daddy’s heart.
Daddy, it’s my greatest wish That my little hands will catch big fish When I’ll be there fishing with you I know you’ll teach me what to do You’ll show me how to bait my hook When we fish the lakes and brook And how to find the fishing hole The way to cast my fishing pole Daddy, I know that you’re dreaming too Of the special times I will spend with you!
My little eyes are watching, My ears are listening too. They take in everything That you say and do.
My little hands are eager To do the things you do. I’m hoping and I’m dreaming I’ll grow up just like you.
I am just a little guy Who knows that you are wise You’ll teach me what I need For someone just my size
I’m a bright eyed little fellow Who is watching what you do And I’m waiting for the day I’ll be grown up just like you
Walk alongside me, Daddy and hold my little hand. I have so many things to learn that I don’t yet understand.
Teach me things to keep me safe from dangers every day. Show me how to do my best at home, at school, at play.
Every child needs a gentle hand to guide them as they grow. So walk alongside me, Daddy. We have a long way to go.
To my Dad,
Thank you for teaching me to catch and throw.
The time we spend playing together means more than you know.
To remember these days I made you this ball.
So you never forget when my hand was this small.
“Walk a little slower Daddy,” said a child so small, “I’m following in your footsteps, and I don’t want to fall.
Sometimes your steps are very fast, Sometimes they’re hard to see, So walk a little slower, Daddy, For you are leading me.
Someday when I am all grown up, You’re what I want to be, Then I will have a little child Who will want to follow me.
And I would want to lead just right, And know that I was true, So walk a little slower, Daddy, For I must follow you.”
I sure hope this Father’s Day Is your very best by far,
Extra nice and extra fun The way you always are.
Times are fun when you’re around, No nicer dad could ever be found!
You’re the greatest kind of dad Any kid has ever had…
I just want to let you know You mean the world to me Only a heart as dear as yours Would give so unselfishly
The many things you’ve done All the times that you were there Help me know deep down inside How much you really care
Even though I might not say I appreciate all you do Richly blessed is how I feel Having a father just like you
A dad is someone who wants to catch you before you fall but instead picks you up, brushes you off, and lets you try again.
A dad is someone who wants to keep you from making mistakes but instead lets you find your own way, even though his heart breaks in silence when you get hurt.
A dad is someone who holds you when you cry, scolds you when you break the rules, shines with pride when you succeed, and has faith in you even when you fail…
He doesn’t stand out in a crowd, just an average, regular guy, But to me he’s a king and stands near ten feet high. He loves and understands me, whether I am good or bad. They’ll make the man that I will be, the hours I spend with Dad.
